Wills, Health Care Proxies & Powers of Attorney
Boston Wills and Long Term Care Directives Attorney
Although it is not always a comfortable issue to talk about, it is something we all must address: What are your wishes in the case of serious illness, disability, or death? By carefully and comprehensively drafting the proper documents to prescribe our wishes at such a time, we save ourselves and our loved ones significant financial, physical, and emotional costs that may otherwise occur if we do not.
At the Law Office of Joseph A. Lopisi in Cambridge, Massachusetts, I represent individuals and families in the creation of wills and drafting of long-term health care directives, such as health care proxies and durable powers of attorney. These are documents we all need, regardless of age or current health.

Health Care Proxies
Should you become disabled or critically ill to the point that you cannot express your wishes regarding care and treatment, it is extremely important that you have a health care proxy in place. Doing so, can help ensure your wishes and beliefs are effectively protected from compromise because of conflict among loved ones regarding medical care.
Durable Powers of Attorney
Everyone should have a durable power of attorney in case of an accident, illness, or disability that prohibits you from making decisions to take care of your own personal affairs. A power of attorney allows you to designate a trusted individual to handle your financial matters without the need to spend the time and money getting a guardian appointed, or in probate court.
Wills
By drafting a comprehensive will, I can help you address issues such as the distribution of your personal assets, naming guardians and trustees for your children, and any other issues that are important to your legacy should you pass away.
I work closely with my clients to draft and review these important documents according to each person’s individual needs and personal wishes. I charge a flat fee of $750 for all three documents, including reciprocal documents for a husband and wife.
Avoid trouble later and discuss your personal wishes regarding these critical issues with me now. Contact my Arlington law office today.
I serve clients throughout Greater Boston including, but not limited to, Middlesex, Suffolk, Essex and Norfolk Counties and surrounding areas from Lynn to Belmont to Needham.
